With the advancement of technology, there are several innovations in metal detecting that will ensure the success of your hunt for treasure.
Ever wondered what type of technology is behind the LCD screen displays on metal detectors? Whether Professional or Novice Treasure Hunter, metal detectors have some kind of depth performance and sophisticated features. These features can range to standard in depth imaging to regular pinpointing and warning device which signals the handler if there are changes in the soil density or not.

The current operating status will as be indicated at all times including the probably target type and depth when metal is detected. All features are either named on the touchpads or displayed on the screen, making it easy for you to program it the way you want. Various innovation depends on each metal detector. Some have more than 4 modes, which are factory preset.

The best metal detector must have several operational modes. Like for example, the innovative Sniff Mode can be used in specialized applications when rejection or acceptance of one particular object is desired. In metal detecting, it is very important that the machine is calibrated for the particular soil conditions that you are hunting. This allows the detector to discriminate the difference between the soil and a target.

Digital circuitry combined with Treasure Hunter's Patented Technology. The LCD target readout will display the probable type of metal being targeted and what denomination of coins are detected. The denomination of coins are also symbols for many other types of metal that are in the same detection range. The depth indicator will lock on and emit simultaneously with the target identification.

The Treasure Hunter XJ9-3050 is Treasure Hunters top of the line model. This detector was designed for the advanced user that is serious about treasure hunting. The 3050 has an amazing combination of technology to make it truly second to none among its peers. The 3050 has Treasure Hunters patented multi-frequency deep search technology found only in Treasure Hunter 3019, and XJ9-3050 metal detectors. This model is equipped with a powerful 32 bit Z-TEX Computer Microprocessor for increased depth and discrimination. Visually, the LCD display will show and identify the target, depth of target and pinpoint the target. This detector can achieve depths of 30cm (12") for a coin the size of a US quarter. Can detect a silver dollar at 16" depth. At the same time, this detector will tell the difference between an old wheat penny from the new zinc type of penny. To achieve greater depths and increased discrimination, this detector uses multi-frequency technology. The XCJ-3050 can recover coins, relics, treasure as well as gold nuggets at greater depths because of its multi-frequency technology.
